Coconut is an 11 year old Throughbred who enjoyed a not so successful racing career in his youth. He was given a second chance through New Vocations horse Adoption and came to be Cassidy’s 4H project horse. Coconut works hard for Cassidy in lessons and at horse shows. Even though he is still confused by these crazy pattern, they make him do in the equitation classes(because why does any horse need to do more than run the oval track?), he goes into them with gusto and surprisingly a smile on his face. When not showing Coconut enjoys time in the pasture with CC - who pretends to hate him, eating and pawing shamelessly when his breakfast and dinner are not delivered in what he considers to be a timely manner. He considers himself to be the best-looking horse in the barn and is certain the mares spend all their time thinking of him. He is looking forward to trick riding and the possibility of a Perfect Coconut fan club in 2020

Interesting facts about IEA.....
No rider needs to own a horse.
Based at Penn State Harrisburg campus and ridden at Lower Hopewell Farm . Led by Coach Alida this Team is open to all PSU HBG students of all levels.
IHSA welcomes beginners through advanced riders in the hunter and Western disciplines to compete individually or on a team. Men and women compete with and against each other.
IHSA eliminates the expenses of horse ownership and allows more students to compete. Horses are furnished by host colleges and are chosen by drawing lots. The use of personal tack is not allowed and schooling is not permitted. The format fairly tests the horsemanship of the athletes. Divisions range from Walk/Trot to the Open Division for the more experienced riders.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
